Common Sense Isn't Common

Yesterday

I did go to the PSAL championships at Madison Square Garden yesterday. I'll have something on that soon.

I also went to the CHSAA girls championships at St. John's. Eh...it was aiight I guess.

Unfortunately, I came home to the news that Bill Beutel passed. For those that don't know, Beutel was a newscaster on ABC 7 in NY for a loooooooong time.

Mr. Beutel was my tv grandfather. It might sound craazy, but he was. I watched Eyewitness News every day with my grandmother for as long as I can remember even up until Beutel's last day in 2001.

My aunt and mother would come busting through the door from work yakking about their days, but as soon as they saw Mr. Beutel on the screen, they'd pipe down and sit on the bed with Grannyma and I to watch the news. Mr. Beutel practically had a hand in raising my mother, aunt and I.

I'm sure many other NYers can say the same. Condolences to his family.

I Had A Dream

I had this really weird dream while I dozed off around 7pm.

I dreamed that I was watching a Laker game and the Lakers lineup looked like this:

PG - Stephon Marbury
SG - Kobe Bryant
SF - David Lee
PF - Kevin Garnett
C - Andrew Bynum

I really should sleep at night. Maybe I need to change my diet. And yes, Phil Jackson was the coach.
